It has become somewhat of a custom for the editors of this journal to praise, at this place, the thematic and geographical diversity of the research presented in the respective issue. We will not break with this custom this time, but, with the twinkling of an eye, begin by stating that diversity is almost lacking in one respect in this issue: gender.
